The Speks – fun traditional Irish music for your little ones

A Co. Clare based nursery-rhyme-performing and traditional Irish band are gaining momentum in radio and education circles. The Speks are a bunch of relatively unknown musicians from a mysterious island, Glasses Island  that lies off the coast of Clare and have come together to bring their brand of Irish music, accompanying all-time favourite nursery rhymes to the world and to Thurles!

Their debut album won a prestigious Parents’ Choice music award in theUSand the music has already been downloaded in 40 countries, drawing rave reviews like “riverdance for toddlers” and “grown-up music for kids”. Their songs encompass the all important areas of rhyme, rhythm and repetition – so frequently the missing links for children learning to read.
