Stan Laurel’s Daughter Supports Nenagh Silent Film Festival

Support for the Nenagh Silent Film Festival (NSFF) is increasing all the time. One of the latest messages of support comes from the daughter of Stan Laurel: Lois Laurel-Hawes. The NSFF are delighted to quote Lois in wishing the NSFF the Very Best of Luck with the Festival. Lois herself starred in several Laurel and Hardy productions as a young girl; these included Swiss Miss, The Chimp and The Bullfighters.

With a strong momentum behind the Nenagh Silent Film Festival initiative, the Committee are delighted to announce a 60’s to 90’s Retro disco on Friday 18th May in The Kenyon Bar. According to Marketing King Declan, a Groovy night is in store with Guest DJ’s from the local world of sport, several spot-prizes for the best fancy dress from any of the decades remembered and all for just €5. So break out your flares, perm-up your hair, say: ‘Peace Man’ and lets have a Rave. The NSFF 60’s – 90’s Retro disco will be on from 10pm to late and tickets are available form Cinnamon Alley, the Hibernian Inn or at 067 – 41332, or from any NSFF Committee member.
