Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football Notes 20th March

Bord Gais Energy Div. 2 National League Round 6.
Tipperary Ladies were away to Galway last Sunday in the 6 round of National League. Depleted by injury to a number of first choice players the panel were very much under strength. After a very competitive first half Tipperary trailed at half time by a few points. Our depleted panel ran out of steam late in the second half and Galway scored a number of goals to run out comfortable winners. Management have reported to have been pleased with the team’s effort and commitment on the day. Next game Tipperary versus Waterford April 1st at home venue in a game must win to avoid relegation.
Under 16 challenge game
Tipperary played host to Dublin under 16 team on Sunday last in Cahir. Both teams were experimenting with players in different positions in preparation for their first round championships games. Score at half time 1-4 each and a final score of Dublin 2-13 to Tipperary 2-5 gave both management teams plenty to think about. Tipperary travel away to Clare for their first round game on April 4th. Our thanks to Martin Halpin and the Cahir club for use of their facility.
Under 14 team
On Sunday 25th March Tipperary travel to play Waterford in the third round of the Munster championship in a Waterford venue at 2 o clock. Best of luck to the team and management.
