Spanish ‘Pop Up’ Restaurant, Cloughjordan House

Join us for a Spanish Pop Up night, 24th March at 7:30pm till late, ticket price €25. Enjoy a three course Spanish meal, short of castanets, this is the closest that you will get to Spain before the Summer, Spanish dancing will be optional. The event is the second in a series of Pop Up restaurants which will be hosted in the historic Cloughjordan House over the coming months.

‘Cloughjordan House is the perfect backdrop for a party, we wanted to open our doors but not have the commitment of a restaurant, a pop up was the perfect solution’, Sarah Baker, Cloughjordan House.

A Pop Up restaurant offers a unique experience for diners. Every element of the night is variable, the one constant being that the event doesn’t happen in a restaurant. At Cloughjordan House, the 400 year old setting provides a unique venue, which together with our newly completed cookery school and restored ballroom is perfect for events.

Also known as guerilla cuisine, a Pop Up is not a new concept. In the States temporary restaurantshave long offered new chefs a chance to cut their teeth and an opportunity for established chefs to stretch their comfort zones. A good Pop Up combines quality food, with a sense of unpredictability and theatre – literally anything could happen on the night.

In London and New York the phenomena has attracted a cult following with insiders booking out events as they are announced. Using new media such as Facebook and Twitter, events are promoted in real time. Follow us on Twitter @sarahbakercooks to keep up to dates with our new events.

Places fill up early, book online www.cloughjordanhouse.com. Cloughjordan House runs a monthly Pop Up as well as various cookery classes, more details on line.
