Recent Oscar winning actor graces The Source stage

After their 2011 critically acclaimed sell out tour, Prime Cut Productions make their Source debut with the fantastic Shoot the Crow by Owen McCafferty.

Four tilers; Socrates, Ding Ding, Randolph and Petesy have been employed to fit out a communal shower room and annex, but each of the men is barely able to keep his ‘head just above water’ thanks to the relatively low wages. Eventually mayhem unfolds as a result of their efforts to make a few bob on the sly, but not all of them can commit the same petty crime.

These ordinary ‘Joes’ and wannabe criminals are limited by their lives; school trips for their kids, a window-cleaning round for their retirement or a motorcycle so they can pretend to escape the drudgery. It hardly sounds like a barrel of laughs, but Shoot the Crow will guarantee you a good night out.

This cracking comedy has appealed to audiences from Tokyoto London’s West End. Star of Academy Award winning film The Shore, Packy Lee appears in this production. It’s typically Irish, a hilarious and moving homage to the working class man, a man that we all know.
