Marketing Institute South East Web Pow Wow Event Success

The first event of the Marketing Institute of the South East 2012 calendar was held in New Ross, County Wexford last Friday (March 9) morning at The Brandon House Hotel.

 

The Web Pow Wow which featured high profile business leaders from across the south east who all spoke about the effectiveness of doing business online attracted large numbers of business owners and entrepreneurs from across the South East.

 

Leading pharmacist Patrick McCormack, Managing Director  of Sam McCauley Chemists first took to the podium and spoke of how important the online presence of Sam McCauley’s is to the business growth of the group and he outlined how there are major plans to increase this presence during 2012.

 

Also taking the podium Lorna Sixsmith a social media success story spoke of how her online presence has really increased the awareness and profile of her interiors business Garrendenny Lane. She has recently launched ‘Write on Track’, blog writing and coaching service, to help other SMEs raise the online profile of their businesses and drive more traffic to their websites and Lorna talked about the importance of blogging and how to do it right.

Paula Ronan of Angel Marketing also spoke at the Web Pow Wow; Paula runs Angel Marketing, based in New Ross and spoke of the importance of managing your online brand profile for success.

Commenting on the event Chairperson of MII Southeast Dennis Harris said, “This event is a great success we have a great numbers in attendance and all of the entrepreneurs speaking at the Web Pow Wow have achieved huge success online firsthand and have built up hugely successful brands in very different ways”
