North Tipperary Macra na Feirme

The next meeting of the North Tipperary Macra Executive takes place at 8 pm Sharp in Una Powell’s, Nenagh. All welcome. We are hoping for a big turnout on the night.

Newport Macra na Feirme, one of the oldest clubs in the county and one of the few in the region to have survived with an unbroken record since its formation will celebrate its Diamond Jubilee next March. On Friday March 2nd a special Mass will take place in the Church of the Holy Redeemer, Newport at 7.30pm. Then on Saturday March 3rd a dinner dance will take place in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh. Teams from Clodagh and Devilsbit will travel to Enfield in County Meath on the 18 of February to represent North Tipperary in the finals of the Macra Question Time Quiz. We wish both teams the best of luck.
Members of Moyne Macra and Nenagh Macra attended the Black Tie Ball held in the Ormonde Hotel Kilkenny last Saturday night. A great night was had by all.

The North Tipperary Young Farmers Discussion Group are organising their annual meeting with IFAC in the next few weeks. Guest speakers covering aspects of taxation and the budget amongst other topics. More information in a weeks time.
South Tipperary Macra will hold a Barn Dance in Jerry Jack’s Bar, Annacarty on February 18th. With prizes for the best dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl on the night, additional spot prizes, finger food and a DJ, this fantastic night out is not only free of charge, but it promises to be a great night out. With some special raffle prizes also available on the night.
