Morris wishes the Irish Ship To Gaza safe journey

I would like to extend my best wishes and a safe journey to Trevor Hogan and the M V Saoirse on their journey to Gaza as part of the freedom waves to Gaza Flotilla. This is Trevor’s second attempt to deliver his humanitarian cargo to the beleaguered people of Gaza. The first attempt had to be called off due to the M V Saoirse being damaged at a Turkish Port by Israeli agents. The good people of Ireland raised 140,000 Euros to help this worth cause get back on the high seas.

The boat is now in International waters and I am calling on Alan Kelly, Noel Coonan and Michael Lowry to use whatever influence they have to press the Israeli Government not to harm the boat or her crew. As a fellow Nenagh person I am very proud of Trevor’s determination to help people worse off than we are.

Yours sincerely Cllr. Séamie Morris
