Harvest Afternoon Tea Dance in Lakeside Hotel Ballina Killaloe

The Elderly Network,  a group of professionals & volunteers  from a wide range of local community organisations focusing on rural and urban isolation among the elderly,  announce a   ‘Harvest Afternoon Tea Dance’  to be held on Friday October 21st at the Lakeside Hotel,  Ballina/Killaloe, from 2 to 4.30pm.

Admission is free and the afternoon will feature live music from Tempo and will include performances from elderly and active age groups from East Clare and North Tipperary. Local Community Musician, Paul Browne will be Master of Ceremonies on the day and will welcome speakers and performers including James McMahon from Clarecare and Gretta O’Shea, Director of Limerick Gospel Choir and displays in gentle relaxation & fitness

The afternoon will feature information stands from a number of organisations including  The Killaloe / Ballina Family Resource Centre, Irish Therapy Dogs and Fit for Life.  Organisers of the event present on the day will include Clarecare, The Lakes Retirement Home, The Waterman’s Lodge Day Care Cemtre (Alzheimer Society of Ireland) along with puclic health nurses and volunteers from local community groups.

The Elderly Network is requesting that families, carers, friends and neighbours of older people in the community encourage attendance at this important social event.
