Jig is the remarkable story of the fortieth Irish Dancing World Championships, held in March 2010 in Glasgow.
Three thousand dancers, their families and teachers from around the globe descend upon Glasgow for one drama filled week.
Clad in wigs, make-up, fake tan, diamantes and dresses costing thousands of pounds they compete for the coveted world titles.
A year of incredibly hard work makes for just a few tense minutes on stage.
Award-winning filmmaker Sue Bourne discovers a world of dedication, hard work, obsession, passion.
Success and failure, and astonishing talents pushed to their limits in the quest for perfection.



Debate – The Presidential Election Debate 2011
8pm, Monday 26 September
Admission: €5 (all proceeds go to the Arts Centre programme)

Nenagh Arts Centre has invited all candidates for a public debate at the Town Hall on Monday 26th September.
The debate will offer the public in Nenagh the opportunity to speak to the candidates and ask them their views regarding the role of president and get their opinions on how they would deal with the presidency if they were to be elected.
Garry Cotter, Editor at the Nenagh Guardian will chair the event which begins at 8 p.m. on Monday 26th September.
Full line-up of attending candidates is subject to change.
