Friday 23rd September is Culture Night at The Source, Thurles

Friday 23rd September is Culture Night, and all over the nation people are attending local cultural institutions to celebrate. Initiated by Temple Bar Cultural Trust, Culture Night is the evening for exploring and discovering the great facilities we have to engage with the arts. Activities and entertainment will be taking place in over thirty towns across the island of Ireland. Thurles is no exception and The Source is presenting Aonghus Óg McAnally in Fight Night.

The story revolves around Dan Coyle Jr, a failed amateur boxer living in the twin shadows of his overbearing father and his brother’s Olympic success. After a life of exile and following the birth of his own son, he returns to the ring. This is his one chance to regain his competitive fire and take his first tentative steps on the road to redemption. Everything hangs in the balance on this one night.

Aonghus is no stranger to living in the shadow of your family’s exploits and has brought some of his experiences of being part of one of Ireland’s legendary acting dynasties to the role.

So come on down to The Source and celebrate Culture Night.

The Source Arts Centre is celebrating Culture Night with Fight Night this Friday 23rd September at 8.00pm. Tickets €15 / €13 concession, €17 on the night.
