Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. Club Notes

Book Launch: Michael Lowry T.D., will launch “Hillside Views” by local writer, Jimmy Fogarty in Corcoran’s Lounge, Two-Mile-Borris on Saturday night 13th, August.  In a wide ranging contents there are some articles on athletics with photographs old and new. The proceedings will commence with a Wine & Cheese reception at 9 p.m., followed by official launch at 10 p.m. Finger food will also be served. MC for the night is John Hackett. Jimmy has been a key member of our Club for many years & was the driving force behind the production of our Club History Book “70 Years of Athletics in a County Tipperary Parish” in 2007. Your support for his new book would be greatly appreciated.

Our Annual Road Race (7km for Ladies & Men & 3km Fit4Life) will be held on Friday 26th August starting at 7.30pm. Registration from 6.30pm onwards in the Community Hall, Two Mile Borris. Entry fee is €10 & spot prizes galore on the night.

Another Tipperary Little Athletics Jamboree will take place in Templemore Track on Friday 30th August commencing at 6.30pm. The jamboree is open to all our Club’s girls & boys aged 5 to 10 years. It will be a fun team event with each participant taking part in modified running, jumping & throwing events. More details can be found on www.tipperaryathletics.com.

Cillian McDonagh (Boys U/8 60m), Adam O’Dwyer (Boys U/10 200m), David Ryan (Boys U/12 100m), Jack Fallon (Boys U/12 600m), Daniel Ryan (Boys U/14 80m Hurdles), Ciara Mocker (Girls U/14 Shot Putt), John Duggan (Boys U/16 Discus) & our Boys U/12 4 x 100m Relay team of Oran Mulhall, Jack Ryan, David Ryan, Jack Fallon, Sean Mockler & Rhys Shelly. We wish them all the very best of luck as they compete for their parish & County in their chosen events.
