Mayor Morris Welcomes Immediate Start to Nenagh Vocational School Building

The Mayor of Nenagh Seamus Morris recently welcomed the immediate building on Nenagh Vocational School, here is what he had to say:  ‘I would like to welcome the immediate start to the much delayed school building programme in Nenagh Vocational School. After many false dawns and much time and effort spent by the hard working V.E.C team we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. The work on the building is due to start immediately with the hope that the builders can take advantage of the school holidays to make up time on delivering the project. The staff and pupils are to be commended for putting up with the terrible conditions over the last number of years and can now look forward to the facilities that they deserve. This project will not only deliver to the people of Nenagh and surrounding areas a much needed school but the V.E.C have also generously offered their sporting facilities to the community at large after school hours in conjunction with Nenagh Town Council if a deal can be done with the local authority. I feel as Mayor that this generous offer should be accepted for the benefit of the sporting communities of the area and it can be a template for the future in sharing school facilities which have been paid for by the taxpayer. I would like to thank David Leahy North Tipperary C.E.O and his team for delivering this project after putting so many hours of painstaking work into this very important facility for Nenagh and they are the ones that deserve the credit for it.’
