1960’s Dublin brought to Life by Peter Sheridan at The Source Arts Centre

The Source is delighted to be hosting playwright, screenwriter and director Peter Sheridan with his nostalgic view of growing up in 1960’s Dublin, Forty Seven Roses. This coming of age story is based on Peter’s own life on the north side of Dublin. He paints a world inhabited by eccentric characters and full of bizarre incidents. It should also be a world that we are all familiar with, either through our own experiences or through television and Irish literature.

Brilliantly funny and moving, Sheridan is captivating as he brings the world he lived in to life. Things are seen through the eyes of a child as he tries to make sense of the surreal surroundings he inhabits.

This show has been a huge hit at Bewley’s Café in Dublin and it has been a real coup for The Source to be able to bring Peter Sheridan to Thurles for this wonderful evening of nostalgia.

Forty Seven Roses is at The Source Arts Centre on Friday 15th April at 8pm. Tickets €18 / €16 concession.
