Student Enterprise Awards 2010/2011 Results

The Student Enterprise Awards is a nationwide County & City Enterprise Boards initiative designed to encourage students to take a business idea from market research and follow through to production, selling, record keeping, management and finally write a comprehensive Business Plan detailing their activities.  At a local level, the competition is organised by the Tipperary North County Enterprise Board.

This year there were seven schools (Colaiste Mhuire -Thurles, Nenagh Vocational School, Ursuline Convent – Thurles, Our Lady’s Secondary School – Templemore, Presentation Secondary School – Thurles, St. Mary’s Secondary School – Nenagh and CBS – Thurles) and over 120 students competing for the top prize and the opportunity to represent North Tipperary at the National Final in Croke Park on 14th April.

It was great to see such an enterprising spirit amongst the students with such an array of business ideas covering a range of industries. Great credit is due to all the students who took part, their teachers and The Enterprise Board.
