Wildebeest Theatre Company perform the mysterious ‘A Different Animal’ at Nenagh Arts Centre

Theatre Company Wildebeest presents ‘A Different Animal’ at Nenagh Arts Centre, the evocative and strange tale of a young woman (played by Crissy O’Donovan) who upon escaping a party meets a visitor (Marie Boylan) who has a curious interest in her.

A bottle of wine is opened. Awkwardness turns to passionate fluency. Dusk seems to linger interminably and in the growing intimacy, something more malevolent also stirs. Is either character who they say they are? Are they even who they think they are? What will be lost if true identities are revealed?

This psychological drama was written by Meadhbh Haicéid and is directed by Ciarda Tobin.

Brendan Maher at the Arts Centre said: “This work is new writing from a new theatre company based in the Limerick area; Meadhbh Haicéid and Marie Boylan in Wildebeest are part of this group of young, experienced, theatre practitioners who have recently come together through a shared interest in creating new work and ‘A Different Animal’ is the most recent of their productions.”

The play reaches Nenagh Arts Centre in Banba Square, on Tuesday 1st February at 8 p.m. Tickets are €10. Contact the Nenagh Arts Centre on 067 34900 for details or book online at www.nenagharts.com
