Flann O’Brien’s Comic masterpiece at The Source

A night of fun and frolics is guaranteed this Saturday 27th November at The Source Arts Centre when Flann O’Brien’s hilarious comic masterpiece, Slattery’s Sago Saga is brought to life. This sell-out hit show is coming to Thurles for one night only and promises to be a real treat for all lovers of the bizarre and surreal.

The story was left unfinished at the time of the author’s death and was brought roaring back to life by the pen of Arthur Riordan- writer of the international hit Improbable Frequency.

The plot revolves around the goings on at Poguemahone Hall and the arrival of a “scotch” woman intent on ridding Ireland of its cherished potato by means of a dastardly evil plan. Enter a politically-correct Leprechaun, a beautiful typist and a tycoon T.D. bent on bankrupting the country (Sound familiar) and the stage is set for a night of pure entertainment for all ages.

The Source is delighted to be staging this show which is touring Ireland between tours of Finland and the US. The all star cast includes Darragh Kelly who was inThe Clinic and Batman Begins, Lisa Lambe ofBachelor’s Walk and Aonghus Og McAnally from one of Ireland’s most famous acting dynasties.
