The magic of the Lambert Puppets returns to The Source

There are some names that are just iconic in the world of Irish entertainment. One of these is the Lambert Puppet Theatre. The Source is delighted to announce that they will be bringing their special magic to the venue on Sunday 24th October with their unique take on the children’s classic, Cinderella.

Born out of founder member Eugene Lambert’s love of puppets, this internationally renowned company has been enchanting children for many years. Many generations of us grew up with the Lambert puppets as part of our everyday lives on RTE, in programmes such as Wonderly Wagon and Bosco. In fact you can almost define generations based on which of these classic series’ are their favourites. The Lambert Puppet Theatre Company is very much a family affair with Paula (the voice of Bosco) taking over the reins from her father in recent years and keeping this institution alive.

This visit to Thurles sees them taking on the story of Cinderella and giving it the classic Lamberts twist. So be prepared to cheer the goodies and boo the baddies as audience participation will most definitely be called for and demanded. Why not enjoy a little guilty pleasure and give the kids a treat that might just bring back some great memories. Who knows, you might join in the mayhem yourself?

The Lambert Puppet Theatre present Cinderella at The Source Arts Centre on Sunday 24th October at 2pm and 4pm.
