North Tipperary Facing Longest Delay in Obtaining Back-to-School Allowance

It has come to light that the length of delay in obtaining back-to-school allowance, which range from a 3 days up to a month, is dependent on where you live.

Limerick & North Tipperary are two of the counties currently experiencing delays of up to 30 days, the longest delay  in receiving the allowance.   Delays in South Tipperary currently stand at approximately 15 days.

Obviously given the current economic climate many families will be hit hard by these delays.  The HSE have drafted in extra staff to speed up this process, so hopefully this issue will be remedied shortly.  In the meantime, if you are one of the families affected and this delay is causing you concern, please contact your local HSE Office or call the HSE Info line on: 1850 24 1850.
