Jerry Fish to play The Source this weekend

jerry-fishCalling all lounge lizards, swampadelic merchants and rockabilly rebels! Jerry Fish is about to make a rare appearance in Thurles on Saturday 10th July at The Source Arts Centre.

Jerry Fish has a sound that’s steeped in the cradle of music circling the Mississippi delta. His songs define any classification and have helped maintain his position as the king of cool, in the alternative section of anybody’s CD collection. He moves seamlessly from the jazz and ragtime of a New Orleans bar to the hectic lyrical pace of a Jacques Brel inspired dark Parisian night club, while marinating the cool delivery of the Las Vegas rat pack. Who else could you say that about and not sound completely ridiculous. The answer is nobody.

For this visit Jerry is going to be accompanied by his good friend and renowned jazz pianist Justin Carroll. In what promises to be a very intimate evening, Jerry’s witty lyrics will be brought to the forefront, giving a great insight into this amazing songwriter and performer.

Jerry Fish is at The Source Arts Centre on Saturday 10th July at 8pm. Tickets €15 / €12 concession.
