Award winning show celebrates the life of Eric Morecambe at The Source

eric-morecambeThe Source Arts Centre presents a very special show on Saturday 26th June when the Olivier Award winning Morecambe – the man what brought us sunshine will be at the Thurles venue.

Direct from its smash London West End run, where it played to sell out houses at the Duchess Theatre, this is the first time an Olivier Award winning show will be presented in Thurles. Starring Bob Golding, who could be Eric Morecambe’s twin brother, the show provides a moving and funny portrait of one of the English speaking world’s most loved comedians. Eric Morecambe was one half of the hugely successful Morecambe and Wise comedy duo, who kept us in stitches for most of the nineteen seventies and early eighties. His untimely death in 1984 left a void that has never been filled.

It is truly wonderful to have a west end hit play in The Source. The show tells a great story and not only features a great performance from the actor in this demanding one man show. The Set is one of the biggest touring sets to grace The Source stage and is sure to be impressive.

With all this in mind, this show is a must for all fans of theatre and comedy. Catch it while you can.

Morecambe – the man what brought us sunshine is at The Source Arts Centre on Saturday 26th June at 8pm. Tickets €20 /€18 concession.
