Cloughjordan Business Network Hosts Evening on Supports for Regional Tourism Development.

Cloughjordan Business Network is hosting a networking event with Shannon Development to facilitate sharing of information regarding supports available for regional tourism product development. The event will take place on Thursday, 18th February at 8pm in Grace¹s Pub, Main Street, Cloughjordan and will include a presentation by guest speaker Ruairi Deane, Tourism Product Development executive at Shannon Development followed by Q&A from the floor.

As the Regional Tourism Authority, one of Shannon Development¹s main roles is to initiate and support tourism development as a key element in the achievement of overall economic growth throughout the Shannon Region. In his presentation, Ruairi will explain the key support activities that are in place to stimulate regional tourism growth and the key elements that form the basis of a tourism product base.  Mr. Deane will also highlight the importance for Cloughjordan of identifying the strengths that provide competitive advantage to a community based tourism product.

The CB Network extends a welcome invitation to those of you that are  currently active in local tourism service provision including B&B owners, visitor facility managers, amenity providers, entertainment and activity organisers – to share insights gained through first hand experiences working in the tourism sector in North Tipperary in today¹s challenging economic environment. This CB Network event will also benefit anyone who has an interest in developing Cloughjordan as an attractive, welcoming, historic, artistic, sustainable, educational and heritage destination for visitors. CB Events are informal, open to all entrepreneurs and admission is free. Please mark your diary, bring your business cards and join the Network. No RSVP
